Northern Lights Wound Workshop – Aurora Awards

Meet in the International Hub for Innovation and Sustainability

Over the past several years, Iceland has emerged as a vibrant medical and scientific innovation center, with Kerecis at the forefront of wound healing and tissue repair.

The Northern Lights Wound Workshop is the leading scientific workshop for advancing the knowledge of the utility of fish skin grafts for managing chronic wounds and lower extremity injuries. The Aurora Award is given to the facility and accepted on behalf of the submitting provider for truly outstanding cases, judged by a panel of blind reviewers.

We are excited to announce that this year, we are expanding the Northern Lights scientific workshop to include outstanding case submissions utilizing Coloplast Advanced Wound Dressings (AWDs). Get ready for an expanded array of innovative solutions and exciting case studies, as Kerecis and Coloplast combine forces to provide a broad portfolio of wound and tissue repair solutions.

Each HCP can only submit one case or one case series, the submission needs to be a complete, unique start-to-finish case showcasing the use of Kerecis or Coloplast AWDs. The PowerPoint submission must clearly and concisely tell the full story with high-quality pictures and must include a Kerecis application photo or Coloplast AWD application photo. The exchange of ideas is fostered between all attendees during this exclusive small-capacity event, where attendees present their findings.

Process:

  1. Follow the registration link on this site to apply for your chance to participate in the Aurora Award workshop (see eligibility requirements below)
  2. Once you have received confirmation of your eligibility, Kerecis will provide you with a template and instructions for your case submission.
  3. A blinded committee of experts in the field will score all case report submissions. Case submissions are ranked based on scientific value, completeness, novelty, and clinical relevance.
  4. Only highest-scoring cases will win an Aurora Award and be admitted to the Northern Lights scientific workshop to present their winning case.
